Minecraft Server Ban List

< Commands
This feature is exclusive to Java Edition.

These commands control a server's banlist, or blacklist. A blacklist is a list of players or IP addresses that are not allowed to connect to the server. Bans supersede any whitelisting in place.

  • 1ban
  • 2ban-ip
  • 3banlist
  • 5banip

ban[edit]

  • Bans are announced both in game chat and in IRC, with a current ban count. Common misconceptions 'Logging off will prevent me from being banned' - Although true of the vanilla server, this has not been the case at MinecraftOnline for a very long time. 'If you ignore them, they'll go away' - This is bad advice in life as well as Minecraft.
  • Now go to banned-ips and banned-players.txt file; Edit these files and delete the player ip and/or name, this will allow the player to join your server again; Final Words. In this way you will be able to ban or unban a player in Minecraft from your server.
  • All Minecraft Server Commands. Here are all of the server commands that you can use on your server. Ban reason Blacklists the name.

Create a new thread in the ban appeal forum. Before you appeal, you may want to make sure you get familiar with our rules again, since they can change often. Note: Overturning a ban may result in the loss of your inventory items, buildings, structures, economy balance, and/or XP Points.

Since 1.12 we've lost the global market and the chestshops, so we're trying QuickShops.
QuickShops is like Chest Shops but it has a GUI and you can search for items nearby. It looks pretty cool!
It has some conflicts with Grief Prevention, so when you drop a chest you have to /abandonclaim for people to use your shop!
Here's how to get started.
Go to /warp shops and find a shop you want to setup. First come first served!
How to Create a Shop
  1. Place a chest on the ground. Type /abandonclaim
  2. Hit the chest with the item you want to trade
  3. Type in price for the item (As prompted) in chat
  4. Fill the chest...

With the introduction of BlockTown v.10, we're trying a new market system that should make everything a lot easier for everyone. It's called Global Market and it's largely command and GUI based. It's easy to get the hang of, but if you need help, follow this introduction:
If you're looking to sell an item that you have, you must hold that item and use the command:
/market create.
You will have to create a price per quantity for the command following the long form:
/market create [price] [quantity]

This will put your item on the market listings menu, which can be accessed using:
/market listings

In this GUI, you can...

See you in game soon!

Hello, Everyone!
Recently there has been a very big issue on a very simple topic, and that's PvP.
When BlockTown started, there was little interference when it came to matters of PvP. There was simply wilderness, and safe zones. This has been true throughout BlockTown history with the exception of BlockTown 4 where PvP was disabled (It was brought back in later maps because of the high demand for it). Now, on BlockTown 9, every issue that the admins seem to get involves PvP.
BlockTown 9 follows the same concept that all previous BlockTown maps (which had PvP enabled) had set. PvP has safe zones and wilderness. While the methods of creating these safe zones have changed, the idea remains. BlockTown 9 has possibly the easiest way to avoid PvP yet! Claims can be made at your base that render it PvP free! Plus, this territory can be expanded for free the more you play! Protection has never been so simple.

Hey everyone! BlockTown now has a 1.11 test server online!
To join our 1.11 test server just load 1.11 in your Minecraft client and join the server as normal. You will be re-directed to the test server right away!
As usual with test servers there may be bugs, and you will not be able to save your buildings or inventory from the test server when we move the Survival Server to 1.11.
The Survival Server from 1.10.2 will be upgraded to 1.11 later this week and all of your buildings...
